Stephanie Osborne

Director

Stephanie Osborne, RN, BSN, CCTC, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Organization. Ms. Osborne received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Connecticut in 1973. She has had experience in both outpatient nursing (in the community, as well as hospital clinics) and inpatient nursing (medical and surgical intensive care, cardiac intensive care and step-down units, dialysis and emergency department), in clinical research and in clinical education. She presented original research at the 29th Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation in Paris, France, in 2009.

Ms. Osborne came to UCSD as a Heart and Lung Transplant Coordinator in August 1996, and achieved certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator in February 2006. She was recognized as the UCSD 2009 Nurse of the Year. Ms. Osborne retired in May 2011 after 15 years as Nurse Transplant Coordinator for the UCSD Heart and Lung Transplant Program, during which she coordinated care for over 400 heart and lung transplant patients.
